17/1 2009 Newly acquired animals. The Disc anemones came with the rock they are attached to. The snail is an Astraea sp. The foreground shows that the algae bloom is still going on. |
17/1 2009 Another newly acquired rock. The green algae is Caulerpa sp., which I hope will grow in the tank. The brown stoney coral is not identified (18/7 2009 tentatively identified as Pocillopora sp.). |
26/1 2009 This image shows, that the rock is also covered in polyps, probably of the genus Xenia. |
26/1 2009 Close up of the stone coral (18/7 2009 tentatively identified as Pocillopora sp.). As evident, the polyps have already opened up. |
26/1 2009 The third newly acquired rock. The anemones are not identified, which also goes for the green algae, barely visible on the side of the rock. EDIT: Notice the bottom anemone; The elongate shape has turned out to be the first stage of a spontaneous split in two. |

26/1 2009 The last rock is inhabited by a group of anemones, which are also unidentified. |
26/1 2009 A close up of the rock, depicting a small red tubeworm. |
26/1 2009 Yet another image. I can not make out, what the brown spot, to the left of the tubeworm is, but it is most likely algae. |
