Length/width is determined by available space, and the height is in My opinion the best compromise between having as much water as possible, and optimal conditions for decoration and lighting.
It is made from 11 mm. glass, with the front glass in Weissglass (glass with neutral colour, like an acrylic tank), and black silicone gluing. The oversized glass dimension, avoids the need for struts, which is a great asset when working in the tank, and completely eliminates any problems with shadows on the bottom.
To the left, a surface drain is built in, and within the drain, 3 holes have been drilled in the bottom (2 for draining to the sump, and 1 for return water).
