Close up of the spontaneously grown stoney coral (18/7 2009 tentatively identified as
Pocillopora sp.). It is still visibly growing. It has been completely surrounded by Xenia, but seems to be able to push them back, as it is also spreading over the rock.

The small piece of coral (18/7 2009 tentatively identified as Stylopora sp.), first shown in
April, is clearly growing too.

The burned anemones (ref:
February and March) are completely recovered, and even the worst affected, seen as an almost transparent disc, is still alive, and appear to get better.

The
Euphyllia coral, acquired in February, have had a tough time. It was cemented to a rock when it came here, but it was very badly done, so I opted to break it off. Unfortunately it is now very difficult to securely place it, so it has been knocked down several times, and also been poorly placed, in too strong currents, but now it seems to be OK.

The green
Briema polyps really thrive on this spot. The parts that is not growing directly on the rocks, will be cut off, and I will attempt to "plant" them elsewhere.

The remains of a
Briema colony that did not do too well, and was removed. They seem to grow back anyway.
